These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the LawCrown website, including all services, content, directories, and features made available through the platform.By accessing or using LawCrown, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our website or services.
About LawCrown
LawCrown is an online directory and discovery platform that helps users find verified lawyer profiles across India.
LawCrown is not a law firm, legal consultancy, arbitration service, or legal practice. We do not provide legal advice, legal opinions, legal representation, or legal services.
Our role is limited to listing lawyer profiles, facilitating discovery, and connecting users with independent legal professionals.
Eligibility
1. Users must be at least 18 years of age.
2. Lawyers registering on LawCrown must be legally eligible to practice law in India.
3. Users agree to provide accurate information while using the platform.
Lawyer Registration
Explain:
1. Lawyers are responsible for all information submitted.
2. Bar Council Enrollment Number must belong to them.
3. Fake profiles are prohibited.
4. LawCrown may request supporting documents.
5. Manual review is required before publication.
6. Approval is at LawCrown's discretion.
Verification Policy
LawCrown performs reasonable verification based on information submitted by lawyers and publicly available records wherever reasonably possible, including details such as Bar Council Enrollment Number and supporting information.
However, users should independently satisfy themselves regarding the suitability, competence, experience, and credentials of any lawyer before engaging professional services.
Verification by LawCrown does not constitute:
1. A recommendation or endorsement of any lawyer;
2. A guarantee of professional competence or expertise;
3. A guarantee of successful legal outcomes;
4. A guarantee of ethical conduct or future behaviour; or a guarantee regarding the quality of legal services provided.
A Verification Badge only indicates that LawCrown has completed its verification process in accordance with its internal procedures.
User Responsibilities
Users agree that they will not:
1. misuse the platform
2. upload false information
3. impersonate another person
4. attempt unauthorized access
5. post illegal content
6. spam lawyers
7. harass lawyers
Lawyer Responsibilities
State that lawyers agree to:
1. Keep profile information updated
2. maintain valid professional credentials
3. comply with Bar Council rules
4. communicate professionally
5. provide lawful services
6. comply with applicable Indian laws
Payments
Certain services may become paid services in the future. Any applicable fees, billing terms, refund policies, or subscription plans will be displayed before purchase.
Intellectual Property
State that:
1. LawCrown name
2. logo
3. design
4. content
5. graphics
6. trademarks
Belong to LawCrown unless otherwise stated.
Third-Party Links
Explain that the platform may contain links to third-party websites and LawCrown is not responsible for those external sites.
Limitation of Liability
It should clearly state that LawCrown:
1. Does not guarantee outcomes of legal matters,
2. Is not responsible for advice given by lawyers,
3. Is not liable for disputes between users and lawyers,
4. Is not responsible for losses arising from reliance on lawyer services.
Suspension & Termination
Mention that LawCrown may suspend or remove accounts if users:
1. Submit false information,
2. Violate these Terms,
3. Misuse the platform,
4. Engage in unlawful activities.
Indemnity
State that users and lawyers agree to indemnify and hold LawCrown harmless from claims arising out of their own actions, submissions, or services.
Governing Law
Specify:
1. These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
2. Courts in Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms.
No Attorney-Client Relationship
Using LawCrown does not create an attorney-client relationship between LawCrown and any user.Any attorney-client relationship exists solely between the user and the lawyer chosen by the user.This protects you tremendously.
No Guarantee of Results
LawCrown does not guarantee:
1. legal outcomes
2. Quality of service
3. Success rate
4. Response time
5. Lawyer availability
6. Suitability for any matter
Every legal service is provided solely by the independent lawyer.
Verification Badge
A Verification Badge indicates that LawCrown has reviewed certain information submitted by the lawyer, such as Bar Council Enrollment Number and other supporting details where available.
The Verification Badge does not constitute:
1. Endorsement
2. Recommendation
3. Guarantee of competence
4. Guarantee of integrity
5. Guarantee of future conduct
User Reviews
Reviews represent personal opinions of users and do not reflect the opinion of LawCrown.
Removal of Listings
LawCrown reserves the right to:
• reject
• suspend
• edit
• remove
• permanently delete
Any listing without prior notice if it violates these Terms or applicable law.
Fraud
Lawyers found submitting:
• fake Bar Council numbers
• forged documents
• fake office addresses
• impersonated identities
may be permanently banned and legal action may be initiated.
Privacy
Please refer to our Privacy Policy regarding collection and use of personal information.
Changes to Terms
Reserve the right to update the Terms and recommend users review them periodically. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
